Animals with Verbs! Hedgehog with ‘Pack’.
Oh man, this one had so many different takes.
I have a story in my head when I tell a picture. Just a little one, but it usually tries hard to come out when I’m drawing. Like here, the hedgehogs are packing a picnic. So of course we need outer wear, a door to show that they’re heading out, and a window to show it’s a nice day for a picnic.
But does it really need all that?
What if I took the background out?
And lightened up the table to put more attention on the hedgies?
Hmm, I think I like the darker table better.
But what if we zoom right in on the action?
Yup. That’s much more about ‘Pack’, even if it is less story.
I like the little house.
But I think my focus might need to be on the action.
