Heehee. I like this one. Working for a NaNoWriMo Beaver today.
I think.
Okay. So in my big scheme of life, I had in my plans that, as a famous, prolific author and illustrator, I would:
1-write a rough draft of a story.
2-sketch up a rough draft of the illustrations for a picture book.
3-work on the 2nd draft of the story.
4-work on the 2nd draft of the illustrations.
5-work on the 3rd draft of the story.
6-work on the 3rd draft of the illustrations.
…and so on.
This would allow me to clear my mind a bit between each draft of each project and come back to it with fresh eyes and a fresh(ish) brain.
I’m done #1. But it’s still NaNoWriMo. So I’m torn between seeing how far I can get in a month, and making that switch up that I know is important in avoiding burnout and keeping inspiration and thoughts fresh.
At the moment I’m leaning towards illustrating. Because that was in my plans before NaNoWriMo.
Plus, I’m missing my drawing time!
Okay. Yes. That’s my plan. I really want to see if this switch up helps me stay fresh and happy with my work. I have a cute poem story that my friend sent me about a princess. I’m excited to get to work on it.
