The November prompt from SVSlearn’s Critique arena was:
It was the end of the road for Kamari…Or was it a new beginning?
I had two ideas for this one.
This is my second take: So, Kamari is the littlest goats gruff. He gets to the bridge and is about be troll dinner (“Was it the end of the road…”) when the big brother’s step in. And of course, the brothers all end up traveling across the bridge together and are then onto grand adventures (“…a new beginning”).
This was more of a colour journey.
I started off going for the typical brown goats, green bushes, blue sky. But then I wanted to push myself to try something a little different, and ended up with blue goats and a whole lot of pink:
I liked the blue, but the little red overalls against the green bushes was showing up so much better. So I traveled down that path, trying to help the troll not disappear into the bushes too:
I was about to go with the violet troll, but I really wanted to give those blue goats a second shot. After some advice from the SVSlearn forums, I got rid of the pink scenary, and tried out more orangey overalls and green bushes:
That was it! I went for the reddy/orange and my blue goats. I even tried out a different crop:
But consensus was I couldn’t loose those big brothers’ faces. So we went up!
