Next up in my Draw 50 Things for the Garden study: Sprouts!
So, I am incredibly lucky. I have a little microgreen set up on my kitchen island, and I get to see sprouts growing everyday. There is something absolutely beautiful about the process of a tiny, dry, little brown seed unfolding into a gorgeous, and tasty, plant.
Peas are one of my favourites. The young shoots taste like buttery green lettuce, and, if planted in my garden, their roots become these amazing nitrogen fixing machines, adding so much goodness to my dirt.
And they’re so easy to grow!
