Corn. I have been putting off drawing this garden ‘thing’ for my ‘Draw 50 Things’ project.

I just wasn’t happy with a simplified hint at kernals. A cob needs all those little pieces to be corn in my brain. So I finally tackled it this week. And you know what? Once I figured out a good method, it wasn’t actually too bad. There is an underlying line of dark kernals. I copied that and warped it for all the lines beside it. Then I flattened that to one layer and painted highlights on top. And more highlights. And then a reflective light.
I think it worked out!
