Okay, this is truly my favourite garden tool. This is what keeps us going through the summer, and helps make everything look pretty and tidy.
In fluffy soils, like back in B.C., I actually prefer the stirrup hoe, which works whether you’re pushing forwards or pulling back. In southern Alberta, however, we’ve got some pretty heavy clay to deal with. So the sharp points on this fellow here work great at slicing through the dirt.
And yes. I break a lot of these too.
