Happy Fall! This is my absolute favourite season of the year.
Which I get to enjoy for about a week here in Alberta, Canada.
So, this week we are making the most of it and doing a nature study.
Much less fun than perler beads, apparently. I suppose I might be more excited for our nature study week than my kids are.
We looked at oak trees and acorns:
I tried some inking over top of my water colour:
We found mushrooms (and a fairy ring!):

We sketched up the drawings outside and then brought them home to paint. I might try painting with the kids at the destination tomorrow, or switch up the medium, but today I enjoyed having a quiet afternoon painting with my littlest:
