I like things tidy.
Organized.
Symmetrical.
However, environments are not usually found this way.
I’m taking the SVSlearn.com course on Creative Environment Design. And Jake Parker seems to be able to draw amazing collections of THINGS that are beautifully varied.
I’m sure it’s a practice thing. But I was pondering what could help me create richer, fuller scenes.
And then I went to the dump. Our microwave had quit working, and we needed to dispose of it. When I dropped it off, I found he had a lot of friends:
And I found exactly what I needed. I see rubble. I see town/city scapes. I see forests.
I see fascinating shapes:
And cool machinery bits:
These are not part of my art vocabulary. I was just so utterly delighted with my find.
