Picnic is a verb, right?

So, applying my new understanding from the class, The Magic of Color, that cooler colours recede, helped me figure out the (really simple) background for this. My brain really wanted to draw deep green pine trees back there. But instead I took the colour of the grass, dialed it over to the blues a touch, lightened it, added a row of hedge, dialed it over to the blues a touch more, and lightened it again before adding the little trees. This helped so much. I had been adding deep green trees and they just kept looking like tiny little trees growing around the bear. Somehow the colour tricks are helping with the distance illusion.

So, signature question. I was going to start putting a signature on my finished pics. But it seems like a link would make more sense, since these are shared digitally. Do I stick in both? I love it when I come across a picture and I can find where it came from because it has a way to find the author right in the picture. Sometimes things have been copied or reposted and the source gets lost. Is there a downside?
