Sometimes I feel guilty. Spending time learning and growing my art skills takes away time I could be spending with my kids.
And yet, sometimes, I see how much THEY are getting from ME learning art.
Case in point: I’ve been doing a LOT of perspective exercises. Which involves a lot of cube drawing.
My five year old now thinks that cube drawing is awesome:
So, I’m going to try and stop feeling guilty. They are fed. They are clothed. They are cared for. They are loved.
And they have a mommy who loves learning. Because I show them this love, instead of ignoring it or waiting until a ‘better time’, I hope they, too, will grow to love the eternal quest for learning.
This one is carrying pizza.
