Well, for the life of me I don’t see where I saved my work. So I’ll use a cheesy old picture of me and my hubby (and first baby, if you squint hard enough) for the featured ‘Light and Shadow’ pic.
I really enjoyed Lee White’s SVSlearn.com course on Light and Shadow for Illustrators.
The main notes I want to remember are:
Shadows. Remember that there are Hard, Firm, and Soft, and Form shadows.
Change in plane, change of value.
Save detail work for subject matter (Background, Foreground, Subject matter in picture composition).
I feel like I’ll go through these Foundations courses again, growing each time. But this was a great exercise.
