Another craft project. In addition to sharp carving knives, I though it would be fun to give my children super long jagged needles to play with. Doesn’t stress me out at all.
…Why do kids enjoy the dangerous stuff so much?
Anyway. I managed to find a quiet moment for a little bit to try my hand at some felted walnut decorations. Yes, the kids had to help me hammer and chisel open the walnut halves, but then I was able to experiment a bit on my own first before I tried teaching them what I was trying to do.
One creation: Felted mouse in a walnut shell.
I sat him down on some pumpkins we still have hanging out from Halloween:
But I was feeling more Christmasy, so I dragged out some decorations just for a photo shoot. (Yes, yes, I’ll get around to decorating for real, soon. I just have to get over the fact that I’m willingly scattering mess and clutter everywhere under guise of ‘decorations’ ;). )
So stinking cute!
